Her Story

Kameisha Jerae Hodge has been writing and editing works for nearly a decade. A native born-and-bred product of Washington, D.C., Hodge received her Bachelor’s Degree from Lafayette College and her Masters Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

Hodge has published three collections, Atlas of Consciousness (2010), Double Consciousness (2014), and Unconsciousness (2015). In between titles, she has been published in The Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives and a Canadian anthology entitled “The Poetry of War and Peace”, won first place in Café de la Penseé’s Global Cultural Competition, spoke at a TED Talk event, and performed along the east coast at venues for open mics and talent shows during 2013. She has most recently won three Rainbow Rendezvous Awards in 2016, including Best Nonfiction Author, Poet of the Year, and Best Poetry Book of 2016.
